“Mad Mush” rhymes with “George Bush”, for reasons unknown.
Mad Mush & his rock band are based in London UK. Mush was born in Sweden and is primarily a composer and record producer. He put out his first official record, “The Difference” in 2003 on his own label. He plays guitar and sings, and formed the band for the expressed purpose to get out and play his songs to live audiences. Mush has been gigging with various line-ups in London, playing in Spain and Slovakia with Tim Picken and Julius Holub (The Evidence), doing a live radio performance and outdoor gigging. Mad Mush is known by his fans for the catchy songs, and a fun, exciting, unpredictable vibe. He likes to monkey around, but is dead serious.
Mush has worked hard on filming and has produced reels for several of his songs, including “Mary Magdalene” performed live in Poprad, a studio recording of “Ladbroke Grove” and a rehearsal recording of “Justice”. They usually rehearse at Enterprise Studios on Denmark Street, or at Live Wire in Streatham.
Mush has a production studio for music and video and spends much time working up release quality music, studying the business, analyzing, planning, and formulating strategies to achieve goals and targets. Some of these are related primarily to the group and their personal satisfaction, in Merry Prankster tradition called “fantasies” (Mush knows his punk and hippie history), ideas often originating with band members, such as playing in drummer Julius’ home town in Slovakia; others are the usual steps taken by bands who wish to accomplish international success. Mush is recording 40 songs (he’s written over a hundred) in the form of three release quality albums, with the aim of either licensing them to an established label that can provide knowledge and assistance with promotion and touring, or scoring publishing and distribution deals. The first album, “Keep looking for treasure” is officially release ready as of April 2010.
Mad Mush wants to release music worldwide and tour extensively.
